2024 Secondary Crop Tiles Survey

Gading Rejo – BPS-Statistics of Pringsewu Regency is carrying out the Secondary Crop Tiles Survey in Subround I 2024. The Tiles Survey aims to get productivity figures for food crops, especially secondary crops. The secondary crops being tiled include corn, cassava, sweet potato, peanuts, soybeans and green beans. Information collected includes the type of seed used, the area of the field planted, the weight of the harvest in the plot sampled, the use of fertilizer, and the adequacy of water.

Unlike other BPS surveys which are generally carried out in monthly or quarterly periods, the tile survey is carried out in sub-round periods (4 months). This is because it adapts to the planting season and harvest season in the Indonesian climate. For example, subround I is in the period January to April.

These productivity figures will later be used as material for calculating food crop production figures together with harvested area figures produced from other sources. (ARF)
