The implementation of national and regional development policies and programs needs to be supported by the availability of regional (spatial) based data and information that complements other existing sectoral data. Data and information about the specific potential possessed by all regions down to the smallest level (small areas) is an important material for planning, implementing, controlling and evaluating regional development in general or even specifically according to certain regions.
In May 2024, BPS will hold Podes Data Collection in all government administrative areas at village level including villages, sub-districts, nagari, Transmigration Settlement Units (UPT), and Transmigration Settlement Units (SPT) which are still being developed by relevant ministries throughout Indonesia, including Pringsewu Regency. .
Podes 2024 data collection was collected via the CAPI application. The aim of the 2024 Podes Data Collection is to produce data for regional development needs, providing data on regional potential, availability of infrastructure/facilities, and socio-economic conditions in each village/sub-district. Whereas
The specific objectives of Podes 2024 are:
a. Providing data that can support planning activities for the 2026 Economic Census.
b. As a means for Updating Village Master Files (MFD).
c. Providing data on the existence and development of the potential of the village/kelurahan which includes: social, economic, regional facilities and infrastructure.
d. Providing data for village typology classification purposes.
e. As a data source for updating statistical work area maps.
f. Providing basic data for the preparation of small area statistics.
g. Providing data for preparing various analyzes such as identifying and determining underdeveloped villages, context variables in PMT, identifying disaster-prone villages, and identifying villages that have geographical difficulties.
h. Providing data for calculating village development/progress indicators.
