Checking the Expansion of Planted Areas (PAT) by BPS Pringsewu Regency

January 21, 2025 | BPS Activities

Gading Rejo (21/1) – In order to maintain the quality of rice production data, the Pringsewu Regency BPS conducted a Rice Planting Check at the location of 2024 Planting Area Expansion (PAT). The check was carried out on the PAT area outside the Fixed Paddy Field (LBS) location. This was intended to see whether the PAT area had been or was being planted with rice or not. The PAT area in question came from polygons that had geographic information sent by the Ministry of Agriculture to BPS. The expected results of this checking activity are a confirmation file of the existence of rice plants in the PAT polygon, photos containing geotagging, and videos, as well as information on changes in the polygon area (if any).

Pringsewu Regency received an allocation of 92 PAT polygons that must be checked in the field. The check was carried out by organic employees of BPS Pringsewu Regency in the period from 16 to 21 January 2025. With full responsibility, BPS Pringsewu Regency employees penetrated muddy fields, rice fields, plantations, to carry out the tasks that had been entrusted. Hopefully this activity can contribute to improving the quality of agricultural data, especially food crop agriculture. (ARF)
