Lampung's Economy in 2011 Increased 6.39 Percent

Abstract

Cumulatively, Lampung's economic growth up to the fourth quarter of 2011 (c to c) or 2011 compared to 2010 grew by 6.39 percent.

In Quarter IV-2011 itself, Lampung's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) fell 8.74 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). The decline occurred in four sectors with the highest decline occurring in the Agriculture sector at 21.84 percent.

When compared with the same quarter in 2010 (y on y) Lampung's GRDP grew by 6.02 percent, where all sectors except the Manufacturing Industry sector grew positively and the highest was in the Transport/Communication sector which grew 13.08 percent.

The size of Lampung's GRDP based on current prices in Quarter IV-2011 was IDR 31.57 trillion, so the cumulative up to Quarter IV-2011 reached IDR 128.41 trillion.

From the expenditure side, negative GDP growth in Quarter IV-2011 (q to q) was mainly due to a decrease in net exports of 11.59 percent.

When viewed from Quarter IV 2010 (y on y), the main components driving growth are household consumption, changes in inventory and PMTDB, as well as when viewed cumulatively (c to c).

Sumatra's economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2011 was recorded at -0.29 percent (q to q). On a "yon-y" basis it was 5.91 percent, and cumulatively (c-to-c) it was 6.16 percent.
