The total export value of Lampung Province in April 2013 reached US$290.3 million or an increase of US$64.5 million (28.55%) compared to exports in March 2013 which were recorded at US$225.9 million. Exports in April 2013, compared with April 2012, rose US$55.7 million (23.73%) from US$234.7 million.
The five main categories of goods as of April 2013 are animal/vegetable fats & oils; coffee, tea, spices; wood pulp/pulp; fish and shrimp; and Processed fruits/vegetables. The increase in exports occurred in 4 main categories of goods, while 1 main category of goods fell, namely processed fruit/vegetables. Animal/vegetable fats & oils experienced an increase in exports reaching 68.23% or US$39.1 million, wood pulp/pulp 25.69% (US$3.3 million), coffee, tea, spices 2.06% (US $0.9 million) and fish and shrimp 0.85% (US$0.1 million).
The largest contribution to export value for the period January - April 2013 occurred in animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; wood pulp/pulp; fish and shrimp and processed fruit/vegetables, each contributing 39.80%; 16.69%; 4.67%; 4.42% and 3.45% of total exports January - April 2013 Lampung Province. The role of these five groups reached 69.04% of total exports in the same period.
The main export destination country in April 2013 was Italy which reached US$65.3 million, followed by Vietnam, Taiwan, India and the United States respectively US$40 million, US$29.1 million, US$24.8 million and US$20.2 million. million.
