Abstract

Rice production in 2013 (Forecast Figure II) is estimated at 3.22 million tons of dry milled grain (GKG), an increase of 116.78 thousand tons (3.77 percent) compared to production in 2012. The increase in rice production in 2013 was due to an increase in productivity of 1.92 Ku/Ha (3.98 percent), but there was a decrease in harvested area of 1.34 thousand hectares (-0.21 percent).
Corn production in 2013 (Forecast Figure II) is estimated at 1.72 million dry shelled tons, down 34.55 thousand tons (-1.96 percent) compared to production in 2012. The decline in corn production in 2013 occurred due to a decrease in harvested area of 20 .96 thousand hectares (-5.82 percent), on the other hand there was an increase in productivity of 2 ku/Ha (4.09 percent).
Soybean production in 2013 (Forecast Figure II) is estimated at 6.27 thousand tons of dry beans, down around 1.72 thousand tons (-21.51 percent) compared to production in 2012. The decline in soybean production in 2013 occurred due to a reduction in harvested area of 1 .62 thousand hectares (-24.15 percent).
