Development of Export and Import of Lampung Province, December 2018

Abstract

The total export value of Lampung Province in December 2018 reached US $ 256.23 million, an increase of US $ 19.48 million or an increase of 8.23 percent compared to exports in November 2018 which was US $ 236.75 million. This December 2018 export value compared to December 2017 was recorded at US $ 285.29, a decrease of US $ 29.05 million or a decrease of 10.18 percent.

The five main export categories of Lampung Province in December 2018 were animal / vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea and spices; coal; pulp / residue of the food industry; and various chemical products.

The import value of Lampung Province in December 2018 reached US $ 188.67 million or decreased by US $ 157.41 million or decreased by 45.48 percent compared to November 2018 which was recorded at US $ 346.08 million. The December 2018 import value was still lower by US $ 40.53 million, down 17.68 percent compared to December 2017 which was recorded at US $ 229.20 million.

Of the five main categories of imported goods in December 2018, four of them experienced an increase, namely each sugar and confectionery rose 56.78 percent; dregs / leftovers from the food industry rose 5.59 percent; fertilizer rose 77.71 percent; and machinery / aircraft mechanics rose 49.99 percent. The main categories of imported goods that experienced a decline were live animals which fell by 32.86 percent.
