Development of the Lampung Composite Consumer Price Index in August 2019

August 2019, Lampung Combined CPI experienced an increase in the index from 139.84 in July 2019 to 140.07 in August 2019, thus inflation of 0.17 percent occurred.

Based on the calculation of calendar year inflation (point to point) in August 2019 experienced inflation of 3.16 percent, while inflation year on year (yoy) August 2019 against August 2018 was 3.59 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, four groups experienced inflation, namely the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group which experienced inflation of 0.65 percent; clothing group 0.54 percent; health group 0.82 percent; and education, recreation and sports 0.47 percent. In contrast, the foodstuffs group experienced deflation of 0.07 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.01 percent; transport, communication and financial services group 0.12 percent.
