Abstract

In December 2022, there was combined year-on-year (yoy) inflation in the two cities in Lampung of 5.51 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.68. Bandar Lampung City yoy inflation was 5.52 percent, with CPI of 114.63 and Metro City yoy inflation of 5.37 percent with CPI of 115.09.

Inflation occurs due to price increases indicated by the increase in most expenditure group (inflation) indexes, namely: food, beverages and tobacco groups 4.91 percent; clothing and footwear group 4.57 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group 1.88 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group 2.54 percent; health group 4.96 percent; transportation group 15.37 percent; Recreation groups, sports and culture 5.55 percent; education group 9.23 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group 3.04 percent; and the personal care and other services group 6.76 percent.
