Abstract

In March 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Mesuji Regency of 4.52 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.33.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by an increase in the index in eight expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco groups by 8.81 percent; clothing and footwear group by 4.72 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups at 1.65 percent; health group by 5.93 percent; leisure, sports and cultural groups at 1.94 percent; education group by 0.64 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 9.68 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.75 percent. Furthermore, there were three groups experiencing y-o-y deflation, namely: equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group of 1.28 percent; transportation group by 0.88 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group at 0.38 percent.

Mesuji district in March The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 0.75 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.03 percent.
