Abstract
The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is one of the key economic indicators used to assess the economic development performance of a region, whether at the provincial or regency/municipality level. Beyond this, GRDP data also serves a variety of purposes, including as a basis for developing economic models to support policy formulation, analyzing the velocity of money, deepening financial sector analysis, determining taxation frameworks, and conducting export-import studies, among others.
According to macroeconomic theory, GRDP can be calculated using three approaches: (1) the production or supply approach (GRDP by Industry), (2) the expenditure or final demand approach (GRDP by Expenditure), and (3) the income approach (GRDP by Income). In theory, all three approaches should yield the same GRDP value.
This publication specifically presents GRDP data based on the expenditure approach, which includes several key components: Household Consumption Expenditure, Consumption Expenditure of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (NPISH), Government Consumption Expenditure, Investment (comprising Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Changes in Inventories), Exports and Imports of Goods and Services, as well as Net Interregional Exports (interregional exports minus interregional imports).
The GRDP data presented in this publication, and those that follow, are compiled using the 2010 base year and have adopted the System of National Accounts (SNA) 2008 framework as recommended by the United Nations.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all government institutions and private organizations that have contributed data in support of this publication. We hope the established collaboration can be continued and further strengthened in the future. While the data and information presented are as accurate as possible, improvements are still needed; therefore, constructive feedback from users is highly valued to enhance the quality of future publications. Finally, we hope this publication proves useful to all stakeholders who require it.
