Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is one of the economic data that can be used to evaluate the performance of the economic development of a region province and regency/city). This data set also can be used for other purposes, such as the basic of economic models improvement in order to formulate policy, velocity of money, the financial deepening, tax assessment, study on export and import and so on.According to macroeconomic theory, estimation of GRDP can be done through three approaches, namely: production approach/supply (GRDP by Industrial Origin/industry), expenditure approach/ final demand (GRDP by expenditure) and the income approach (GRDP by income). In theory, the three approaches of estimation will produce the same GRDP figures.This publications specifically addresses the GRDP by expenditure/ final demand approach. This approach is specified into several components, namely: Household Consumption Expenditure, Non-Profit Institutions Serving Household Consumption Expenditure, Government Consumption Expenditure, Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Change in Inventory), and interregional Net Exports (inter-regional exports minus inter-regional imports). GRDP data in this publications and subsequent publications using the base year 2010, and has implemented the concept of the System of National Accounts 2008 as recommended by the United Nations.
