Harvested Field and Rice Production in Pringsewu Regency 2023

The 2023 Rice Harvest Area and Production Report in Pringsewu Regency presents the results of the implementation of KSA data collection during 2023. In addition, this report also presents information on the potential for rice planting obtained from field observations. The Area Sample Framework (KSA) method is an activity carried out through collaboration between the BPS-Statistics Indonesia with the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) which is now merged into the National Research and Innovation Board (BRIN), the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (Ministry of ATR/BPN), and the Geospatial Information Board (BIG). This activity is included in the national project to support the achievement of one of the national priorities, namely food security in the context of improving food statistical data, which began to be implemented nationally in 2018. The total harvested rice field in 2023 was 21,753 hectares, with the highest harvested area in April of 9,657 hectares. Compared to 2022, the 2023 harvested rice field decreased by 1,736 hectares (7.39 percent). Total rice production in Pringsewu Regency during 2023 was around 128,638 tons of GKG, or decreased by 8,459 tons (6.17 percent) compared to 2022.
