Abstract

Lampung Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) Quarter II-2011 was 104.60. This value is slightly lower than the National which reached 106.36. The improvement in consumer economic conditions in Lampung in this quarter was driven by the increase in household income with an index value of 111.49.

The increase in the household income index in the second quarter of 2011 encouraged improvements in the economic conditions of Lampung consumers in the second quarter of 2011. The relatively low inflation rate has had an impact on reducing the level of food and non-food consumption in both groups.

Lampung's ITK value for the third quarter of 2011 is estimated at 108.53, meaning that consumer economic conditions are expected to improve. The level of consumer optimism is estimated to be higher compared to Quarter II-2011 which was only 104.60.

Improvement in consumer economic conditions in the coming quarter is predicted by an increase in household income with an estimated ITK of 111.31.
