Abstract

Lampung's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in Quarter III-2011 grew 0.81 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). Seven sectors experienced positive growth, where the Transportation/Communication sector experienced the highest growth, reaching 6.35 percent.

When compared with the same quarter in 2010 (y on y) Lampung's GRDP grew by 5.83 percent. All sectors grew positively and the highest growth was in the Services sector at 20.52 percent.

Cumulatively (c to c) Lampung's economic growth up to Quarter III-2011 grew 6.85 percent. All sectors grew positively and the highest growth was in the Services sector at 18.16 percent.

The size of Lampung's GRDP based on current prices in the third quarter of 2011 was Rp. 34.04 trillion, an increase compared to the previous quarter (Rp. 33.06 trillion).

From the expenditure side, GRDP growth in Quarter III-2011 (q to q) was mainly due to high growth in the Government Consumption group and "y on y" growth was due to growth in Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB).

Sumatra's economic growth in the third quarter of 2011 was recorded at 3.01 percent (q to q), on a "y-ony" basis it was 6.13 percent and on a "c to c" basis it reached 6.09 percent
