Survey of Subround I Tiles of Rice in 2021

Apart from the corn cassava survey, BPS Pringsewu District also conducts a survey of cassava rice. This activity aims to collect data on the productivity of food crops, especially the rice commodity. This survey was conducted at the same time as harvest by farmers. Food commodity productivity data is very important because it is directly related to food security data. Starting from subround 3 (September-December) 2018, the ubinan survey for rice commodities was carried out through the Area Sampling Framework (KSA) approach.

KSA is a new method developed by BPPT in collaboration with BPS in order to improve the method of collecting harvest area data which previously was only based on the results of eye observations (eye estimate). This method is carried out in a more objective and modern way by involving technological devices in it, so that data is collected in a more accurate and timely manner.

In subround I, BPS Pringsewu Regency has started since the beginning of April. This is done considering that the main rice harvest in Pringsewu Regency is mostly done in April. So, the implementation of activities starts in April. The ubinan staff enthusiastically continue to carry out the ubinan even though they are fasting, in order to obtain accurate rice production data.
