Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation Agreement: BPS Pringsewu and UMPRI

Pringsewu – [November 12, 2024] The BPS-Statistics Pringsewu Regency and the University Muhammadiyah Pringsewu (UMPRI) have signed a memorandum of understanding and a cooperation agreement in the field of statistics. The signing took place in the UMPRI Rectorate Building, attended by the Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Pringsewu, Ns. Arena Lestari, M.Kep.J., Ph.D., along with her team, and the Head of BPS Pringsewu, Eko Purnomo, SST., M.M., and his team.

In his speech, Eko Purnomo, SST., M.M., Head of BPS Pringsewu, mentioned that this partnership is part of an effort to strengthen the national statistical system (SSN) within the academic environment, specifically through the dissemination of statistics via a “Statistics Corner.” He emphasized that this meeting marks a positive beginning, where the ultimate benefit is directed toward the community, particularly the residents of Pringsewu Regency, through student community service and other initiatives.

UMPRI’s Rector, Ns. Arena Lestari, M.Kep.J., Ph.D., warmly welcomed this collaboration. "This initiative is a positive step, and we hope it will enhance the understanding of statistics among students and educators. The Statistics Corner can provide a new space for the academic community to learn," said the UMPRI Rector.

Before the signing, a reading of the draft memorandum and cooperation agreement took place, ensuring agreement from both parties.

It is hoped that this collaboration will bring positive benefits and further improve statistical literacy in Pringsewu Regency.
