Inauguration of the Statistics Corner at Muhammadiyah Pringsewu University

Pringsewu, December 18, 2024 – The BPS-Statistics Pringsewu Regency, in collaboration with Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu (UMPRI), officially launched the Statistics Corner. The inauguration event was attended by the Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province, Atas Parlindungan Lubis, S.Si., M.Si., who expressed full support for the initiative.

The Rector of UMPRI, Ns. Arena Lestari, M.Kep., Sp.Kep.J., PhD., conveyed her appreciation for the strategic collaboration with BPS-Statistics Pringsewu Regency. “The Statistics Corner is a tangible commitment from UMPRI to enhance data literacy among students, faculty, and the community. This facility not only supports data-driven learning but also serves as a hub for research development aligned with regional and national needs,” she stated.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province emphasized the importance of data as a foundation for policymaking. He also encouraged the statistics ambassadors to continue their roles in ensuring the sustainability of the Statistics Corner. “We are proud to partner with UMPRI in establishing the Statistics Corner. This is a testament to BPS commitment to bringing data closer to the community, especially to the younger generation. Our hope is that this corner becomes a center for statistical information, education, and consultation, providing widespread benefits,” he remarked.

The highlight of the inauguration was marked by the striking of a gong by the Rector of UMPRI, accompanied by the Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province, Vice Rector 1, Vice Rector 4, and the Head of BPS-Statistics Pringsewu Regency. This was followed by the signing of the inauguration plaque, symbolizing the synergy between the two institutions. The event concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Statistics Corner area by the Rector of UMPRI and the Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province.

With the establishment of the Statistics Corner, BPS reinforces its role as an institution committed to bringing data closer to the public, promoting statistical literacy, and fostering the development of a data-conscious society in the digital era.
