Training of Statistics Agents of Aisyah University, Pringsewu and Muhammadiyah University, Pringsewu

Gading Rejo - As a follow-up to the signing of the memorandum of understanding between BPS-Statistics Pringsewu Regency and Aisyah Pringsewu University (UAP) and Muhammadiyah Pringsewu University (UMPRI), BPS-Statistics Pringsewu Regency held a training for 22 Statistics Agents of the Statistics Corner at both universities. The training was carried out from 9 to 11 December 2024, taking place in the BPS Pringsewu Regency Office Hall.

Statistics Agents were selected from students with certain criteria set by the university. The number of Statistics Agents consisted of 10 UMPRI students and 12 UAP students. The Statistics Agents were provided with introductory materials about BPS and the statistics corner, the duties of being a statistics ambassador, statistical literacy, indicators produced by BPS, making infographic designs, data on the BPS website, how to provide good service and communication, and work programs that will be carried out by the Statistics Agents for the next year.

Later, the Statistical Agents will become statistical literacy agents on their respective campuses which will be facilitated in the Statistical Corner. In addition to students as statistical ambassadors, this activity is attended by two accompanying lecturers from each campus. It is hoped that the presence of these Statistical Agents will expand literacy and the use of statistical data among academics in Pringsewu Regency. (ARF)
