Abstract

The export value of Lampung Province in December 2008 reached US$ 194.42 million or an increase of US$ 7.05 million (3.77 percent) compared to exports in November 2008, while compared to December 2007 it experienced an increase of US$ 71.51 million (58.18 percent). ) of US$ 122.91 million. Cumulatively, the export value of Lampung Province from January to December 2008 reached US$ 2.74 billion or an increase of 78.09 percent compared to the same period in 2007.

The largest increase in exports in December 2008 occurred in vegetable oils at US$ 24.24 million, fish and shrimp at US$ 5.92 million and organic chemicals at US$ 1.48 million. Meanwhile, the decline in exports occurred in coffee, chocolate, processed fruit and pulp, amounting to US$ 11.12 million, US$ 4.53 million, US$ 3.34 million and US$ 1.03 million respectively. .

In the period January - December 2008, the export value of coffee, vegetable oil, pulp and fish and shrimp made a relatively large contribution, namely respectively 26.38 percent, 23.88 percent, 8.76 percent and 8 .75 percent of Lampung Province's total exports. The role of these four groups reached 67.78 percent of total exports in the same period.

During the period January – December 2008, the United States was the largest export destination country with a value of US$ 387.46 million (14.12 percent), followed by Germany at US$ 353.02 million (12.87 percent), Japan at US$ 306 million. .64 million (11.18 percent) and the Netherlands worth US$ 293.00 million (10.68 percent). The role of exports to the ten main destination countries in the same period reached 68.30 percent.
