Abstract

The export value of Lampung Province in February 2009 reached US$ 163.80 million or an increase of US$ 25.48 million (18.42 percent) compared to exports in January 2009, while compared to February 2008 it decreased by US$ 41.10 million (20.06 percent). ) of US$ 204.90 million. Cumulatively, the export value of Lampung Province from January to February 2009 reached US$ 302.11 million or decreased by 27.21 percent compared to the same period in 2008.

The highest export increases in February 2009 occurred in animal/vegetable fats & oils at US$ 6.04 million, cocoa/chocolate at US$ 3.86 million, processed fruit/vegetables at US$ 2.49 million, and processed meat and fish. US$ 1.85 million. Meanwhile, a fairly high decline in exports occurred in coffee, tea, spices; and organic chemicals worth US$ 1.27 million each; and US$ 0.30 million.

In the January-February 2009 period, the value of vegetable oil exports; coffee; fish and shrimp; and cocoa/chocolate provide a relatively large contribution, namely 31.04 percent respectively; 15.83 percent; 11.64 percent; and 6.48 percent of Lampung Province's total exports. The role of these four groups reached 64.99 percent of the total export value in the same period.

Exports to the US in February 2009 reached the largest figure, namely US$ 27.12 million, followed by Japan, Germany and Malaysia respectively at US$ 23.63 million, US$ 19.55 million and US$ 12.73 million and the fourth role. reached 52.35 percent of total exports that month
